Meet Lupine!
This beautiful and intelligent boy is a malamute cross. He weighs about 90lbs, is around 3 years old, and is neutered and up to date on vaccinations.
Lupine is truly an affectionate and loyal dog. He’d love to curl up with you in bed or on the couch. He’s a big talker too, and loves to howl and sing. He really is a big softy inside and out (including a massive wooly coat that needs regular attention).
Lupine does have a bit of a prey drive with smaller animals, and doesn’t always get along with all male dogs. He needs proper introduction to larger males. Otherwise he is great with dogs, and is okay with cats after proper introduction. He is good with older kids, but because of his large size, does have a tendency to knock them over if he jumps or runs without paying attention.
Lupine loves quality food like a raw diet, but will do okay on high quality kibble like Orjen or Acana. He is good off leash, unless he sees a rabbit or another animal like a deer. He doesn’t have much leash training, but is okay on leash.
Currently Lupine lives an awesome life in the country, with daily hiking through the forest with his family, and even a lake to swim in. He just doesn’t get along with a couple of male dogs in the home. Because of this, we will only let our loving boy go to a home that is also in the country, where he will never be tied up, will be with his people in the house each night, and take part in his family’s adventures. His future home should also have a large fenced in run or yard, his current run is 5acres (no small 10×12 kennels). A home that will really cherish this goofy fellow, and let him clean their ears.
A prior introduction to any dogs in the applicants home would also be required.
This big sweetie is a big joy of a friend. He’s hard not to love.
